Adobe Stock Review
Adobe is a dominant player in all things design, and their Adobe Stock is one of the most popular stock media platforms in the world. As a photographer, this platform has provided me with endless amounts of high-quality images produced by other professional photographers around the world. Adobe Stock is much more than images, though. It also offers access to videos, vectors, illustrations, and edited photos. Whatever type of media you need, you can probably find it on Adobe Stock. Thanks to my experience with the platform, I can share all its best and worst features. Here’s everything you need to know about it!

How quickly can I start using their services?
Signing up and starting using Adobe Stock is pretty fast. First, users have to select the package they want. A quick signup process requires essential information, such as your email address and selecting a password. Once the process is complete, you can start downloading your favorite images. Browsing the galleries and collections of photos, as well as reading the blog, can be done without creating an account, but you won’t be able to do anything else without signing up.

How much does Adobe Stock cost?
Even though Adobe Stock is one of the best stock media platforms, the price can put people off! To download images, you have to buy credits. Costs can vary widely based on the package you choose – as you could imagine, you’ll get a lot more value by choosing a higher-priced membership option if you can afford it. Packages apart, you can also opt for a pay-as-you-go type of service, that allows you to only pay for the image you want to download. Below, the monthly costs for the most popular membership options:

There are a few different options for the pay-as-you-go plan, as highlighted in the image below.
Is it easy to use?
Basic computer users unaccustomed to the hamburger menu style may miss some of the features Adobe Stock has to offer. Other than that, the platform is easy to use. A large search bar on the home page allows you to simply type in your keyword and hit search. Then, you’ll be presented with plenty of images related to your keyword. The side menu offers additional features, such as:
- Selecting what type of media you’re looking for
- Subcategory, such as video
- Orientation, for example, horizontal or vertical
Is Adobe Stock safe to use?
Adobe is one of the most recognized businesses in the design world – with an excellent reputation. So as you can imagine, it’s a safe platform to use. Your data, such as email and bank details, will be kept safe.
Can you download images for free?
No. Adobe Stock requires you to buy a license (through a package or pay-as-you-go credits) for every image you want to download. The platform is not cheap, but you can use the free trial offered with some packages to download 10 free images. In this way, you can check if the platform is right for you.
How much can you make from Adobe Stock?
If photography is your passion, then why not use your skills to make passive income? Yes, you heard it right! You can upload your best images to Adobe Stock, and get paid for each download. Sounds good? I’m not saying you’ll become a millionaire overnight, but every penny adds up. And, as it’s one of the most used stock photography platforms in the world, you may make some good money – provided you’re good at photography. Another thing to remember is that you can also get paid for other media, such as video or vector downloads.

Can you cancel your subscription?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time; just sign in to your account, click on the Manage the Plan button under the plan and payment, then click cancel. Confirm your selection to have your data deleted from Adobe Stock.
My test conclusion
Overall, even if Adobe Stock is higher priced compared to other platforms, it’s still one of the best. Not many websites can match the high-quality media that Adobe Stock has, making it the perfect platform for photographers and videographers.
